About the College

Vimla Family Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital is part of the Vimla Group of Institutions, Kanpur – a trusted education and healthcare group founded in 2008 by Smt. Vimla Devi under the Vimla Devi Jan Kalyan Sewa Samiti (Societies Act, 1860).

The group started its healthcare journey with a 50-bed Family Hospital & Research Centre at Hanspuram in 2010. Over the years it expanded to include a nursing college (2013), B.Pharma, D.Pharma, B.Sc Nursing, school education, and finally the BAMS programme, which was formally affiliated in 2022. Today the group runs a 120-bed hospital with a separate 60-bed multi-speciality unit on the BAMS college campus.

The 30-acre campus at Hardauli is situated away from city noise and pollution – an ideal environment for studying the ancient science of Ayurveda. The campus is affiliated with Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath AYUSH University, Gorakhpur, and is approved by NCISM, New Delhi.

Among the BAMS colleges in Kanpur, Vimla Family Ayurvedic Medical College is recognized as one of the top four institutions – alongside Rama Ayurvedic Medical College and Maharana Pratap Ayurvedic Medical College – known for quality education and an accessible fee structure.

Vision: To provide holistic Ayurvedic healthcare and education to rural and urban communities by blending ancient Vedic wisdom with modern medical advances.

Mission: To train skilled, compassionate Ayurvedic physicians who can serve the poorest and most underserved sections of Indian society through affordable and high-quality care.

⚠️ These figures are approximate and based on UP AYUSH historical trends. With only 60 seats total, Vimla’s cutoffs may be slightly different from 100-seat colleges. Actual cutoffs for 2026–27 will depend on NEET 2026 difficulty, total applicants, and available seats. Use only as a rough reference.

Why Consider Vimla Family Ayurvedic Medical College, Kanpur?

Small batch size advantage. With 60 seats, the student-to-faculty ratio is better than most 100-seat colleges. Students get more direct clinical and classroom attention.

Integrated hospital ecosystem. The group runs both the 60-bed on-campus hospital and the larger 120-bed Family Hospital at Naubasta – giving BAMS students exposure to a higher volume and variety of patients.

Pollution-free campus. Located in Hardauli village, far from Kanpur city congestion, the 30-acre campus provides a calm, focused learning environment – ideal for Ayurveda students who benefit from nature-connected study.

Established group with healthcare roots. Unlike colleges started solely for education, Vimla Group began as a hospital in 2010. The clinical-first DNA of the institution translates to strong practical training for BAMS students.

One of the top 4 BAMS colleges in Kanpur. Recognized alongside Rama Ayurvedic Medical College and Maharana Pratap Ayurvedic Medical College as one of the premier Ayurvedic institutions in the city.

Pro Tips for AYUSH Counselling Students

1. Register early on UP AYUSH portal. The upayushcounseling.upsdc.gov.in portal experiences heavy traffic during peak registration days. Register in the first 2–3 days of the window opening.

2. Use the same email and phone as NEET registration. AACCC requires this for AIQ registration. A mismatch will block your application.

3. Fill maximum college preferences. Add as many Kanpur and UP BAMS colleges as possible. Include Vimla Family Ayurvedic Medical College in your choice list.

4. OBC candidates – check NCL validity. Your Non-Creamy Layer certificate must be current. Expired NCL = treated as General category = loss of reservation benefit.

5. UP domicile is non-negotiable for state quota. Without a valid UP domicile certificate, you can only apply for AIQ (15%) seats, not the 85% state seats.

6. Lock choices before the deadline. An unlocked preference list is treated as a withdrawal in UP AYUSH counselling. Always lock before the deadline.

7. Report to nodal centre with originals. Document verification requires original certificates. Do not go with only photocopies.

8. Register separately for AACCC. UP AYUSH and AACCC are completely different portals. To get AIQ seats, you must register separately at aaccc.gov.in with a separate fee payment.

9. Track all rounds. Even if you miss Round 1, Round 2 and the Mop-Up Round offer fresh opportunities. Keep checking the official portal regularly.

10. Do not pay any unofficial fees. All counselling payments go through the official government portal only. Any agent asking for cash or unofficial fees should be reported.
