AACCC Round 3 & Stray Vacancy Round 2026: Dates, Eligibility, Rules and Reporting

AACCC UG counselling for 2026-27 has moved beyond Round 3. The Round 3 final result was published on 26 October 2026 and reporting ran up to 31 October. As of 2 November 2026, the next stage is the Stray Vacancy Round. Students who are tracking the process should also keep an eye on the AYUSH counselling live status because dates and notices can be revised by AACCC.

The most important change for 2026-27 is that the Stray Vacancy Round has two allotment phases: SVR-I and SVR-II. Registration and choice filling happen only in SVR-I. If a candidate is not allotted a seat in SVR-I, the same choices are used for SVR-II. There is no fresh registration or fresh choice filling in SVR-II. This is different from simply thinking of stray counselling as one last single allotment.

Who Can Participate in Round 3 and Stray Vacancy Round?

Round 3 and stray-round eligibility depends on what happened in the earlier rounds. Candidates who were not allotted a seat, eligible candidates entering later rounds, and certain candidates who exited earlier within the allowed rules may participate. The exact position is easier to understand after reading the Round 1, Round 2 and Round 3 counselling rules together with the AYUSH free exit rule.

For the Stray Vacancy Round, AACCC requires an undertaking that the candidate is not holding an AYUSH UG seat allotted through AACCC or State/UT counselling. A false undertaking can create serious problems, including cancellation and ineligibility. There is also no upgradation from Round 1, Round 2 or Round 3 to SVR. The stray round is treated as a fresh final-stage allotment for eligible candidates, not as an upgrade of an existing joined seat.

Before filling choices, candidates should study the AACCC choice filling process and check the latest stray vacancy seat matrix. Do not add a college just because a seat appears vacant. Check course, fee, location, hostel, recognition and whether you are genuinely ready to join if allotted. The college recognition verification guide is especially useful before locking a high-fee or unfamiliar college.

No Free Exit in Round 3 or Stray Vacancy Round

AACCC is strict after the early rounds. If a candidate gets a seat in Round 3, SVR-I or SVR-II, there is no free exit. If the candidate does not report or withdraws after allotment, counselling fees can be forfeited and the candidate can become ineligible for further AYUSH UG counselling for that academic year. Read the detailed seat allotment non-reporting consequences before taking a chance on a college you may not join.

This is why the last rounds should be approached with a “fill only if I will join” mindset. If you are still comparing options, use your NEET rank, expected closing ranks, course preference and total cost. The NEET score vs rank for AYUSH and government vs private AYUSH cutoff pages can help you judge which choices are realistic.

What to Do If You Get a Seat

  • Download the allotment result and read the reporting instructions immediately.
  • Arrange original certificates, photocopies, photographs and fee payment documents.
  • Confirm the college fee, hostel charges and reporting time before travelling.
  • If the seat is an upgrade from an earlier round, obtain the online relieving letter from the previous institute.
  • Report physically within the official window and make sure your admission is processed online.
  • Collect the online-generated provisional admission letter after successful reporting.

FAQs

Can I register fresh for SVR-I in 2026?

Yes, fresh registration is available in SVR-I for eligible candidates. Registration closes according to the official schedule, so late requests are not normally accepted.

Can I fill new choices in SVR-II?

No. SVR-II uses the choices locked during SVR-I. There is no new registration or choice filling in the second stray allotment phase.

Can I leave a Round 3 or stray seat after allotment?

There is no free exit after allotment in Round 3, SVR-I or SVR-II. Non-joining or withdrawal can lead to forfeiture and ineligibility.

Is there upgradation from Round 3 to SVR?

No. AACCC does not allow upgradation from Round 1, Round 2 or Round 3 to the Stray Vacancy Round.

What is the safest strategy for the stray round?

Fill only those colleges you are prepared to join. In the stray stage, a speculative choice can become a binding allotment with serious consequences if you do not report.
